McAfee, Mitchell perform on Peninsula

Posted on June 18, 2013

Folk/pop Michelle McAfee, who may be better known in McCarthy than in Anchorage, is trouring the state to promote her new CD, "Float," along with Frankie Hernandez of Austin, Texas, who has his own new release, "I Live Here," which is actually a live recording of his opening for Ziggy Marley.
The two will perform at the Anchorage Music Co-Op, 2505 McRae Rd. (aka Fiori D'Italia, aka the old Garden of Eatin') at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 27. Before then McAfee will perform with Melissa Mitchell and Spiff  at the Yukon Bar in Seward (9 p.m., June 21 and 22), the Moose Pass Solstice Music Festival (5 p.m. June 22) and The Fairview Inn in Talkeetna (9 p.m. June 26, sans Mitchell and Spiff).
The rest of her schedule includes the Silvertip Grill in Girdwood, 9 p.m. June 28 (again with Mitchell and Spiff), the Brown Bear Saloon Music Festival on the Old Seward Highway (5 p.m. June 29), the Girdwood Forest Fair (July 6) and The Golden Saloon in McCarthy (July 13).
