'American Idol' finalists to perform with Anchorage Symphony

Two finalists in the "American Idol" talent competition will perform with the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra at the orchestra's 46th annual Champagne Pops concert, on Sept. 7 in Atwood Concert Hall. 

LaKisha Jones finished fourth on the show in 2007 and Matt Giraud came in fifth the following year. Both are from Michigan, Jones from Flint and Giraud from Kalamazoo. (He was born in Dearborn.) 

Tickets for the gala event are $130 per person. Reservations are available at anchoragesymphony.org
