An 18-year-old was shot in the arm by a group of men who approached him in a park early Sunday morning, the Anchorage Police Department said.

The man called police from the parking lot of a Taco Bell on East Tudor Road around 1:30 a.m. Sunday to say he'd been shot, said APD spokeswoman Dani Myren.

He told police he'd been walking in Campbell Creek Park, located at 2499 East 48th Avenue, when he was approached by three men.

"They accused him of being 'that dude,'" Myren said.

The 18-year-old, according to Myren, didn't know the men and told them he was not the dude in question but was then shot in the arm by a man police describe as a tall black male.

No arrests have been made.

Police say the 18-year-old's injuries were not life-threatening.
