Wine of the week: 2012 Left Coast Cellars Pinot Gris

July 4, 2013

The 2012 Left Coast Cellars Pinot Gris is quite the charmer. What got me going was the fragrance: white stone fruits, melon and citrus with a tropical edge. The mouth didn't disappoint either: firm and fleshy with a juicy sweetness and vibrant acids. Left Coast Cellars gets lots of awards for this one. This vivacious white will match so many dishes -- curry, Thai, seafood, vegetable terrine. You get the idea. Costs about $18.
