Letter: Anchorage needs tennis courts

Anchorage Daily NewsJuly 8, 2013

I moved to Anchorage four years ago and was happily surprised to find a vibrant tennis community. Over time what I have seen is a lot of pressure on the two indoor tennis facilities run by The Alaska Club. The junior programs and high school programs are wonderful but they do require a fair amount of court time to be successful. They are necessary programs to give the kids in Anchorage a chance to compete in this wonderful sport. We need another facility. The city would be that much more attractive if it had another indoor tennis court facility. Playing outdoors is a two to three month option at best. Please support a new indoor facility in Anchorage. Signed an avid tennis player.
