Wine of the Week: Di Majo Norante's 2011 Sangiovese

Michael McVittieJuly 11, 2013

In the USA everyone's heard of Chianti, Barolo and Pinot Grigio -- classic Italians right? But there's so much more Here's a cool value: Di Majo Norante's 2011 Sangiovese from Molise, on the Adriatic, kind of mid-Italy. This estate produces great values at all price levels. Their Sangiovese is classic cedar, leather, spice and herb matched by a rich and textured palate of cherry style fruit. Dry and nicely rustic. Serve it up with burgers or chops off the grill. Cost about $16.
