Alaska Class Ferry Design Study Report Available for Review
(JUNEAU, Alaska) – The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) and the Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) today announced that the Day Boat Alaska Class Ferry Preliminary Design Study Report is now available online at dot.state.ak.us/amhs/alaska_
The Preliminary Design Study Report provides the concept design for the Day Boat Alaska Class Ferry including profile and deck drawings. The report discusses in detail vessel characteristics such as length, capacity, layout, vehicle configuration and passenger amenities. The report also outlines estimates for vessel construction and the projected annual operating costs.
ADOTPF will be accepting public comments regarding the Day Boat Alaska Class Ferry Preliminary Design Study Report through dot.amhs.alaskaclass@alaska.
