Police are looking for help from the public in locating Wallace Dunn, 81.

The search for a missing Anchorage man last seen July 11 has been unsuccessful so far, police said late Friday.

Volunteer searchers and Alaska State Troopers have been looking for 81-year-old Wallace Wilkinson Dunn since his family reported him missing Tuesday. Troopers found Dunn's gray Ford F-150 parked and locked Wednesday in Big Lake, though the pickup was not near Dunn's cabin in Big Lake, police said.

The troopers' Helo-2 helicopter flew for several hours Friday conducting an aerial search while searchers combed the ground below. They had covered some of the most frequently used trails in the area the day before, police spokeswoman Dani Myren said.
