New York Giants safety Will Hill has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2013 regular season for violating the league policy and program for substances of abuse.

Hill can still to participate in all of the team's offseason and preseason activities, but won't be eligible to return to the Giants' active roster until Sept. 30, one day after New York's Week 4 matchup at Kansas City.

This is Hill's second suspension by the NFL, having been suspended in 2012 for violating the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy.

The Florida product had 38 tackles in 12 games last season.
