Letter: If only he had stayed in his car

July 24, 2013

“The shooting was a sad, open-and-shut self-defense case like scores of others never exploited by the media or the left.”

This was a sad open-and-shut case of racial profiling and vigilante justice prevailing. If George Zimmerman did what the police dispatch told him to do (stay in the car and not follow), Trayvon Martin is alive and nobody’s talking about exploitation. George Zimmerman failed as a neighborhood “watch commander,” a “responsible” adult and a human being. Trayvon died defending himself from an armed stalker holding nothing but Skittles.
