Local New York Life agent offers AARP products

ANCHORAGE, AK,  August 2, 2013 – Walter Wrightson from the Anchorage general office of New York Life, is now authorized to offer AARP branded life insurance and lifetime income annuity products to AARP members.  It is the first time these group life insurance products are offered by authorized-to-offer agents. 

He  is among a select group of New York Life agents who became authorized to offer  his clients AARP Guaranteed Acceptance Life; AARP Level Benefit Term; AARP Permanent Life Insurance, all from New York Life and New York Life’s Guaranteed Lifetime Income Annuity.  He is a Licensed Insurance Agent and passed courses specific to AARP.  

Wrightson  is a recipient of multiple agent awards,  an attendee of top agent training around the country, an Executive Council agent and is a licensed Registered Representative.  His background as a construction general contractor, a father of two  and grandfather of  three children provides him unique insight to the concerns, the needs and desires of business, families, seniors and grandparents alike.  He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE).  Living in Anchorage since 1974 has fostered a connection with our community and state. He is licensed to assist clients with Insurance and Financial products in Alaska, California (Ins Lic#OH41599), Michigan, Washington State and has Long-Term Care Insurance required state Training. He and his wife are long-time residents of Anchorage. 

Since 1994, AARP group life products from New York Life have been available via direct mail to AARP members.  The Company has also been the provider of group lifetime income annuities to AARP members since 2006.
