Chugiak nets easy tennis win

Bartlett’s Cheryl Anspach deprived Chugiak of a perfect team score in a Saturday meet with Bartlett, winning a girls singles match in her team’s 8-1 loss to the Mustangs.

Anspach outdueled Carrie Cook 6-3, 6-3 in the only match Chugiak didn’t win. Four of Chugiak’s wins were by default.

Jacob Shercliffe was the only player to bagel his opponent, taking a 6-0, 6-0 win for Chugiak over Max Soto.
