Aces update: Harrison to Orlando for futures

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, on September 5, 2013

Another nugget of news from the Alaska Aces: Center Zach Harrison, an exceptional penalty killer who is coming off career highs in goals and points, and a terrific playoff run, has been traded to the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears for future considerations.

Harrison, 25, who played all three of his pro seasons for the Aces after a college career at Minnesota State-Mankato, last season racked 14-20--34 totals in 71 regular-season games and went off in the postseason for 7-5--12 totals in 11 games.

Good dude, good teammate, great speed, great effort.

Will try to get up with Harry later today because The Blog has an inkling the move may have to do with off-ice stuff (good off-ice stuff, not bad -- Harry, to our knowledge, is of exceptional character).

Anyhow, any updates will most likely come in Friday's dead-trees edition of the ADN, which, of course, you can also access online at
