Letter: Hollis a bold change for state

September 5, 2013

Alaska’s future hinges upon what happens this next election cycle. With the governor’s oil tax giveaway, cuts to our children’s education, attacks on our rights to vote and undermining women’s right to choose, it is clear that we as a state need to make a bold change next year.

Hollis French is running for governor because he knows we can do so much better. He isn’t a career politician, and he wasn’t born into privilege. He started as a dishwasher on an oil rig and worked his way up to become the manager of one. As a prosecutor, Hollis worked to clean up our streets, and as a senator he has worked to cleanup our government. Alaska needs a smart and strong leader for the decisions of the coming four years, and I hope many will agree that Hollis French is such a leader.
