Wine of the week: Gemtree 2010 Tigers Eye

Michael McVittieSeptember 5, 2013

We are very lucky to live in Alaska because, to the best of my knowledge, we are the only state in the union to have Gemtree. Family-owned Biodynamic vineyards makes the Gemtree 2010 Tigers Eye a to-die-for Shiraz. Balanced deep blueberry and cherry fruits are succulent and sweet on the pallet. It positively dances on the tongue. The nose is layered spicy and intriguing. No heavy alcohol taste and not tannic. It is a beautifully rich and satisfying beverage that deserves the company of a hearty meal. Costs about $25.
