Letter: Parnell costs us 4,000 new jobs

September 18, 2013

According to an independent study by the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Gov. Sean Parnell has cost our state 4,000 new jobs and $1 billion in lost revenue by refusing the paid-for expansion of Medicaid. Obviously, for our governor all jobs are NOT created equal.

Although the health of oil industry profits is his top priority, other industries and other jobs simply don’t make the grade.
