Aces: 3 more players

The Alaska Aces have added three more players with today's announcement the club and players have come to contract terms -- two of the guys are straight out of U.S. college pucks, including a local, and the other is intriguing in that he's from across the pond.

Eli Zuck of Anchorage, who turns 24 Friday, is coming off four seasons at Minnesota State-Mankato, where the center went 2-9--11 and +12 in 31 games last season and was a principal penalty killer. He went 12-32--44 in 117 career games with the Mavericks.

Defenseman Ben Parker, 23, comes from Canisius College, where he went 6-21--27 in 132 career games.

And winger Robert Farmer of Nottingham, England, who is 22, last season racked 20-31--51 totals in 54 games with the Braehead Clan in the Great Britain-based Elite Ice Hockey League. Two seasons ago, he bagged 28-27--55 totals in 61 games with the EIHL's Coventry Blaze. He has extensive international experience representing his country.

Last season, The Blog is told, one of Farmer's linemates was Ash Goldie, brother of former Aces sniper Wes Goldie. Farmer was second on the club in goals and points, and third in assists.

By The Blog's count, the Aces have announced 19 players for the upcoming season -- 10 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders. Of those, 12 are returners and seven are new to the club.
