Nikiski pedestrian badly hurt in hit-and-run

Anchorage Daily NewsSeptember 30, 2013

A 19-year-old pedestrian in Nikiski received what Alaska State Troopers described as severe but not life-threatening injuries over the weekend after a Ford pickup hit him at Holt Lamplight and Anderson roads and then kept going.

Troopers identified the pedestrian as Jonathan D. Demilta of Nikiski. They responded to a report of the accident at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Demilta was transported to Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna.

The truck was described as a green Ford extended-cab pickup with damage to the front driver side, troopers said. Anyone with information that could help the investigation can call the Soldotna Public Communication Center at (907) 262-4453.
