In sports-related, government shutdown news, is Air Force gonna play hockey here next week?

Well, this here government shutdown in the old US of A got a little more interesting -- or disconcerting -- for puckheads today.

According to Joe Paisley of the Colorado Springs Gazette -- he covers Air Force and Colorado College -- the shutdown is threatening to keep Air Force from traveling to UAA's season-opening Kendall Hockey Classic next week.

Still plenty of time for that possibility to change, of course, but here's what Joe filed today on a blog.

Meanwhile, The Blog is headed back in front of the TV at home. What, you thought he'd be at work today? The NHL season started, duh, and that's no time to be in the office (like there's ever a great time for that).
