Tennis: Eagle River nets CIC win over Bartlett

Eagle River 6, Bartlett 1

Eagle River won all three contested singles matches Monday and defeated Bartlett 6-1 in a Cook Inlet Conference tennis meet at The Alaska Club North.

Dan McLain, Mary Stone and Claire Bottini each won singles matches for the Wolves, with Bartlett's only win coming from Syerra Powell and Maren Chadwick in a girls doubles match.

The CIC championships begin Thursday at The Alaska Club North at 3 p.m.

Boys singles 1 -- Dan McLain (ER) d. Jerry Vongkoth, 6-2, 6-2; Boys singles 2 -- No players;Girls singles 1 -- Mary Stone (ER) d. Cheryl Anspach 6-2, 6-2; Girls singles 2 -- Claire Bottini (ER) d. Scratch Boys doubles 1 -- Ryan Casey/Dagan Mullins (ER) d. Nate Michtell/Max Soto (B) 6-0, 6-1; Boys doubles 2 -- No players; Girls doubles 1 -- Hanna Spainhour/Dana Bernhardt (ER) d. Jessica Romero/Kiana Mitchell 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 10-6; Girls doubles 2 -- Syerra Powell/Maren Chadwick (B) d. Tess Hopkins/Kaitlin Bernhardt 6-1, 6-0.
