Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Winnipeg Jets signed defenseman Josh Morrissey to a two-way, entry-level contract on Thursday.

A native of Calgary, Morrissey's deal is for three years and holds an average annual value of $1.425 million each season.

The 18-year-old was taken with the 13th overall pick in June's draft out of the Western Hockey League, where he totaled 15 goals and 47 points in 70 games for the Prince Albert Raiders last season.

Morrissey has picked up five points in just three games for Prince Albert this year.
