Riflery: Results from Thursday's CIC meets

Dimond outguns Bartlett

Madeline Friedl fired a 288, Chelsey Devon shot 285 and Julie DuClos shot 281 Thursday to highlight an impressive display by Dimond's riflery team on the opening day of the Cook Inlet Conference season.

The Lynx beat Bartlett by a score of 3,282 to 2,594.

Bartlett got an outstanding effort from William Wood, who shot 281.

Mustangs top Cougars

Garrett Johnson  fired a 284 Thursday to power Chugiak past Service in a CIC riflery meet at Service.

 Kate benfield’s 276 led Service and was the third best score of the meet. Delaney Hawkins of Chugiak had the second-best score, a 278.

Milne sparks South

Kyle Milne's 286 for South set the standard at Thursday's season-opening riflery meet between South and East.

Milne, the only shooter to score in the 280s, helped the Wolverines to the team win with 2,987 points to East's 2,684.

Rachel Morgan topped the T-birds with a 269.

Wolves take opener

Tristan Henderson of Eagle River and Marian Noble of West enjoyed a perfect start to the CIC riflery season Thursday -- both shot perfect 100s in the prone stage at their meet in Eagle River.

Henderson finished with a three-stage total of 288 to share the meet's high score with teammate Cathryn Papasdora. Papasdora took high-match honors via a tiebreaker. Noble's 281 total was the third best of the meet.

In the team competition, the Wolves edged West by 95 points.
