Don Lucia, marathon man

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, adn.com on October 6, 2013

The Blog was pretty impressed with himself for getting his butt of the couch for a run of a little more than an hour this afternoon.

Then he promptly returned home and saw word of a real runner -- Minnesota coach Don Lucia, the former UAF bench boss and former UAA assistant coach.

Lucia, 55, today finished the Twin Cities Marathon in 3:55:20 -- dude averaged 8:59 per mile, which, not to put too fine a point on it, was surely much better than The Blog averaged today in a run best reported as The Slog.

Congrats to Don.

And now The Blog is gonna get back on the couch and eat a case of Ho-Ho's, and wash 'em down with some Tanqueray, a gentleman's energy drink.
