Letter: Delaying A.O. 37 is wrong

AnchorageOctober 6, 2013

The Assembly members who introduced a motion to delay a vote on A.O. 37 made a blatant attempt to subvert the democratic process. They are hoping the public will forget about the issue and lose interest. It obviously made them nervous that those who support collective bargaining and the rule of law, versus the rule of cronyism, were able to obtain three times the number of signatures necessary to get the repeal initiative on the ballot. Call your Assembly member and let them know Anchorage voters want a swift return to fair employee relations.

Put the initiative to repeal A.O. 37 on the earliest possible ballot.
