The NHL's Florida Panthers sent winger Joey Crabb of Anchorage to AHL San Antonio today.
Crabb played in just one of the Panthers' first four games, that being Thursday night's 7-2 loss at Tampa Bay. (That game included four of the five Alaskans in the NHL -- Crabb and teammate Scott Gomez, and Tampa Bay's Matt Carle and Nate Thompson).
Crabb played 9:49 in that game, including 1:27 of penalty-killing duty, and had one shot on goal.
He's in the first year of a two-year, one-way deal with Florida, which means he gets his $600,000 annual salary whether he's in the NHL or AHL.
