Wright, Hickel start strong for Minnesota-Duluth women

Bailey Wright and Zoe Hickel, a couple of right wingers from Anchorage, started the season well for the No. 9-ranked Minnesota-Duluth women last week.

Wright, a freshman, debuted with a goal in each of two home victories over Connecticut, firing seven shots in the series and logging a +2.

Hickel, a junior, furnished one goal and one assist, went +5 and unloaded 14 shots, including nine in one game. She's an assistant captain this season.

Both women prepped at the North American Hockey Academy, which produces a boatload of Division I players.
