Forgot to get to this Friday night, but a couple of Anchorage boys came up big for Notre Dame in its season debut.

Goaltender Steve Summerhays of Anchorage racked his seventh career shutout by stopping 22 shots and backstopping the Irish to a 4-0 victory over visiting Western Michigan. Junior winger Austin Wuthrich of Anchorage furnished a power-play strike, a power-play assist and a game-high six shots on goal.

In the junior ranks, UAA recruit Olivier Mantha bagged his second shutout in his last three games for the Penticton Vees of the BCHL. Mantha stopped 23 shots in a 2-0 win over the visiting Prince George Spruce Kings. He's 4-2-0 with a 1.68 goals-against average and .934 save percentage.
