And that Nathan Lawson dude can still tend some goal too

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, on October 12, 2013

Since we're getting all goaltendy today -- check the previous post -- it's a good time to remind you that former UAA masked man Nathan Lawson still owns the goods too.

Lawson tonight stopped 23 shots for the AHL's Binghamton Senators in a 4-1 win at Norfolk. That comes after he came in off the bench Friday to stop all 10 shots he faced in mopping up the last two periods of a 5-0 loss at Norfolk.

In three appearances this season, Nate The Great (the script on his helmet used to proclaim as much) is 2-0-0 with a 1.48 goals-against average and .942 save percentage.

Lawson, who owns a small NHL resume, lifetime in the AHL is 74-53-15 with 10 career shutouts.
