Seawolves get a little love

Granted, it's just two games -- two home games, mind you -- into a long season, but the 2-0-0 UAA Seawolves' championship in their own Kendall Hockey Classic over the weekend merited them some love.

UAA isn't ranked in the Top 20, but it did receive enough votes to effectively finish 22nd -- or second in the old "others receiving votes'' category. You can check out today's poll by clicking here.

And on the blog, which used to be the Western College Hockey blog, the Seawolves merited some attention here.

Worth noting, as many have, is that the revamped WCHA had a tough opening weekend -- league teams went 5-10-3. UAA and UAF racked three of the five wins.
