Aces: Just a little housecleaning on the paperwork front; move along

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, on October 16, 2013

The Alaska Aces took care of some procedural work today when they submitted their season-opening roster to the ECHL.

The Aces released forward Ross Ring-Jarvi from his tryout agreement and signed him to a standard ECHL contract (if you didn't know, all ECHL deals are for one season).

They placed wingers Tommy Mele and Shawn Skelly on reserve, which means they probably won't be in the lineup Friday night when the Aces open the season against visiting San Francisco.

And they suspended winger Chris Clackson, whose ECHL rights they hold. Can't find any sign of Clackson playing anywhere on either of a couple of hockey databases. Think suspending Clackson is paperwork to maintain his rights.
