Letter: What state is Dan Sullivan from?

October 18, 2013

An article by Lisa Demer recently raised a very strange question: What state is former Commissioner Dan Sullivan even from? I cannot fathom why he would logically choose not to answer that question if he is seeking to be Alaska’s senator.

During the Bush administration he was a top-level bureaucrat in Washington, D.C., and declared his place of primary residence to be in Maryland, only returning to Alaska in 2009. Isn’t it a bit soon to be running for the Senate if you are too ashamed of your short time spent here to actually admit it?
