Prep gymnastics: Results from Friday, Oct. 18

Tena Newhouse dominated the individual competition for South, but it was Dimond that claimed the team victory Friday at a four-team Cook Inlet Conference gymnastics meet.

Newhouse won all four events to cruise to the all-around title with 34.025 points, more than three more points than anyone else.

Her top score came in floor exercise, where she posted a 9.35 -- the night's only score of 9.0 or better.

Dimond topped the team competition with 183.1 points. South was second with 126.65.
