Tough first pro start for erstwhile Aces goalie Brossoit

Laurent Brossoit, the rookie goaltender who was with the Alaska Aces in training camp before heading back to the AHL's Abbotsford Heat, endured a humbling first start as a pro Sunday.

Brossoit surrendered all nine Texas Stars goals in a 9-3 Abbotsford loss on the road. He stopped 33 of 42 shots. Texas went 5 for 8 on the power play and two of those man-advantage strikes came during two-man advantages.

Brossoit on Friday made his pro debut, stopping all nine shots he faced in a 4-3 loss at Oklahoma City.

The Heat, the Aces' affiliate, are 3-3-1.
