Arctic visitors mistake polar bear paws for human hands

From CBC News: So it turns out that semi-decomposed polar bear paws "happen to look very human," says a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer who was called to downtown Iqaluit, Nunavut, to investigate a report of severed human hands found on the ground. Thankfully, CBC didn't provide a photo.

RCMP Corporal Yvonne Niego says it was an honest mistake, not a hoax. "The individuals calling weren't local," she says.
