Trade is Transportation Conference scheduled

Posted on October 23, 2013

Dear Members and Friends of World Trade Center Alaska:

The saying "Trade is Transportation" stems from the reality that trade cannot occur unless you can move the product to market. Efficient transportation from source to market is absolutely essential for profitable trade to take place.

For the 7th year, we are pleased to conduct this conference to recognize the importance of the transportation and logistics businesses, as well as to highlight the interdependence that exists between Alaska's export industries, the companies that provide transportation and logistics services, and the government agencies that operate the state's major transportation facilities such as ports and airports, roads and rails.

The conference features representatives from Alaska's major transportation infrastructure facilities, transportation companies, and a variety of logistics service providers. Together, in one place, at one time, conference attendees will get the latest news from the people working to make things happen in our state's transportation and logistics sector.

This year's presenters include:

- Era Aviation

- FedEx

- Knik Arm Bridge and Toll Authority

- Port MacKenzie

- Port of Seward

- Swissport USA

I encourage you to consider sponsoring the 7th Annual Trade is Transportation Conference taking place on Friday, November 22, 2013, at the Hilton Anchorage Hotel. This will be an outstanding opportunity for your company to promote itself and benefit from the visibility WTCAK gives its sponsors.

Please fill out and return to us the sponsorship form as soon as possible, and we will be in touch with you to work out the details of your participation in the Conference.

Anchorage Daily News is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
