Anchorage's Lane Bauer bags his first WHL goal

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, adn.com on October 25, 2013

For a guy accustomed to scoring with regularity, Lane Bauer of Anchorage has had his patience tested in his rookie season with the Western Hockey League's Edmonton Oil Kings.

The dam finally broke for Bauer tonight when he bagged his first goal on the major-junior circuit in a game Edmonton leads 7-0 in the third period at Regina.

Believe this is Bauer's 13th game of the season, and his first point.

Bauer, 17, initially committed to UAF before deciding to go the major-junior route (same route taken by Scott Gomez, Brandon Dubinsky and Nate Thompson, and, no, we're not comparing Bauer to those dudes, just sayin').

Anyhow, cool for Bauer.
