Very sweet two points tonight for the NAHL's Kenai River Brown Bears.

The Brown Bears received an extra-attacker goal from Vincent Stefan with 41 seconds left in regulation to force overtime, then took the shootout for a 4-3 road win over the Wenatchee Wild in Washington.

Alec Butcher scored two goals for Kenai and also bagged the game-winning shootout strike for a 3-2 edge in the skills contest. Zach Quinn made 39 saves for Kenai.

Butcher, of Anchorage, is fourth in NAHL scoring, just one point out of a three-way tie, with 8-9--17 totals in 13 games. He's also +11.

Meanwhile, the Fairbanks Ice Dogs lost 2-1 on the road to the Austin (Minn., not Texas) Bears.

Kenai River (10-3-0) sits atop the Midwest standings with 20 points. Fairbanks (9-5-0) sits third in the six-team division with 18 points.
