Letter: Moose no problem; ammo is

October 28, 2013

I am a frequent walker at Kincaid Park and I enjoy how fortunate we are to have a park to explore that offers chances to view moose or any wildlife within an urban like setting, yet recently I feel more unsafe with the knowledge that it is legal to bring a gun to the park. Now I understand why those bullet holes appear on isolated trail signs within the boundaries of a city park.

Stray bullets scare me more than a chance encounter with our urban wildlife. Just food for thought.
