Letter: Parnell turns his back on Natives

October 29, 2013

In response to Cliff Brulotte’s letter of Oct.  26, about his response from Sen. Begich, I want to say that I got the same response from Lisa Murkowski. Each one supports their own position.

What concerns me on a state level is that I wonder who the heck Parnell represents. It sure is not 41,000 Alaskans, many of whom are Native Alaskans, when he denies accepting expanding Medicare because of his political bent. As long as these political figures have their own insurance, they don’t have to be concerned what happens to other people. It is an attitude of “I’ve got mine and to heck with you.” A good thing to remember at election time.
