A Tyonek man has been missing for about a week from the Cook Inlet village west of Anchorage, according to Alaska State Troopers, who are asking for help in their search for him.

Eugene Bismark, 45, was reported missing Friday and "hadn't been seen in a couple days," says a trooper dispatch posted online Wednesday. Bismark's vehicle sat parked at his home, and Bismark had apparently not made plans to travel, troopers said. People Bismark knows in Anchorage said they have not seen him, troopers said.

Tyonek residents searched the area to no avail, and troopers looked on the ground and from the air for Bismark.

Troopers ask that anyone with information on Bismark's whereabouts call (907) 262-4453.
