Big night for former UAA winger Curtis Glencross

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, on November 3, 2013

Checking in on former UAA winger Curtis Glencross, we find he enjoyed a splendid Sunday night.

The Calgary Flames winger scored a goal and delivered the primary assist on Kris Russell's overtime strike in a 3-2 victory at Chicago. Reto Berra, previously of the AHL's Abbotsford Heat, who like the Flames are affiliated with the Alaska Aces, won his NHL debut with 42 saves.

Glencross scored off the rush on a wrister from the left dot that beat Corey Crawford and banked in off the right pipe.

Glencross is tied for fourth on the Flames in scoring with 5-4--9 totals in 14 games. In 412 career NHL games, he owns 114-111--225 totals.
