Alaska State Troopers say they're investigating the deaths of a man and a woman found shot inside a home in the Meadow Lakes area outside Wasilla on Sunday.

Both were shot in the head and a pistol was found next to the man, troopers said an a report posted online.

They were identified as Natasha Clark, 32, and Anthony Torres, 41.

The shootings happened in a cabin off Sylvan Road, troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters said.

Clark and Torres knew each other and were involved in a relationship, Peters said.

A family member called troopers around 9 a.m. Sunday after going to the cabin and "becoming suspicious" that something was wrong, Peters said. The victims' vehicles were parked at the property but it didn't look like anyone was home.

Troopers said they found the two people dead inside when they arrived.

"Investigation revealed both parties suffered apparent gunshot wounds to the head. A pistol was found at the scene next to Torres," troopers wrote.

An investigation is underway, troopers said.
