Aces center Coffman is ECHL Rookie of the Month for October

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, on November 4, 2013

Tim Coffman, who has been a gem of a find as the Alaska Aces' second-line center, today was named the ECHL's Rookie of the Month for October.

Coffman is actually in his second season of pro hockey but is considered a rookie because the Dutch league he played in last season is pretty far down pro hockey's ladder.

In any event, in five October games Coffman racked 4-3--7 totals and a +6 rating.

He's kept it up this month. Coffman owns a six-game point streak in which he has delivered 3-7--10 totals and a +10 rating. He stands fifth in the league in points, and second among rookies, with 4-7--11 and +10 totals in eight games overall.

He centers a line that includes left wing Brendan Connolly and right wing Andy Taranto.
