NAHL Report: Ice Dogs sweep Brown Bears

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, on November 9, 2013

The Fairbanks Ice Dogs tonight used big games from a couple of hometown guys, Tayler Munson and Colton Wolter, to beat the visiting Kenai River Brown Bears, 5-1, and sweep the two-game NAHL series.

Munson racked 1-3--4 and +3 totals to give him a five-point series in which he went +4. Wolter had one goal and two helpers tonight, when he went +3 to bag a four-point series in which he was +5.

Kevin Aldridge made 32 saves for Fairbanks, which scored two empty-net goals in the waning minutes.

Kenai River goaltender Kris Oldham of Anchorage stopped 25 of 28 shots.

Fairbanks has won all four games between the teams this season.
