Police: Two shot, hospitalized early Sunday outside Midtown lounge

Two people were hospitalized, one of them in critical condition, after they were shot outside a Midtown bar overnight, Anchorage police reported. Investigators were working Sunday morning to identify a suspect or suspects, police said.

Police received "numerous" 911 calls just after 2 a.m. reporting the shootings outside the Office Lounge on East Northern Lights Boulevard, police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro said in an email.

A male and female were shot and taken to the hospital, Castro said. The male was in critical condition on Sunday morning and the female was in stable condition, Castro said.

The victims have not been identified.

Castro said police "are working to identify the suspect(s)" in the incident.

Anyone with more information on the shooting is asked to call police at 786-8900 or to leave an anonymous tip call Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP.
