Anchorage police have arrested a man on multiple charges of sexually abusing a minor and are now investigating the possibility he had more victims.

Daryl Edwards, 45, faces two felony counts of sexual abuse of a minor, one in the first-degree and one in the second-degree, according to police. Police said he was arrested on Nov. 2.

"Most times we find that offenders have multiple victims," said Anita Shell, police spokeswoman.

Edwards has previously been convicted in 1988 for attempted sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, said Paul Miovas, assistant district attorney. In 2003, Edwards was convicted with failure to register as a sex offender, he said.

Police are encouraging anyone with information about Edwards' possible to call 786-8900.
