Wine of the week: 2012 Tormentoso Cabernet Sauvignon

November 14, 2013

From the South African town of Paarl comes Tormentoso Cabernet Sauvignon. Paarl's vineyards are a top-notch wine appellation. This 2012 Cabernet has tons extra. Revel and rejoice with heavenly cabernet leaf aromatics and fat blueberry fruit on the nose. The mouth is juicy and coating. The wine is 100 percent barrel-aged with 50 percent new wood. What a gem. Definitely an overachiever -- and priced right too! Costs about $15.
