United Way of Anchorage hosts series of language-specific health insurance talks

The United Way of Anchorage will host a series of educational talks in different languages on the health insurance marketplace.

It's part of the United Way's comprehensive approach to helping Alaskans understand the Affordable Care Act in its position as a federally-funded navigator. All of the marketplace overviews will take place at the same time and in the same place.

Here's the info:

Place: Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center, 4951 Business Park Blvd., third floor conference room

Time: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Language:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 20: Hmong
  • Monday, Nov. 25: Spanish
  • Monday, Dec. 2: Korean
  • Wednesday, Dec. 4: Samoan

The United Way is planning two additional presentations in Nuer and Tagalog, but dates have not been set. For additional information visit www.liveunitedanchorage.org or call 2-1-1.
