Noble, Lynx get wins

West boasted the top shooter but Dimond claimed the team victory Friday at a Cook Inlet Conference riflery meet at Dimond.

Marina Noble fired a 287 for West to edge Dimond’s Maddie Friedl by two points for individual honors. Friedl was one of three Lynx to shoot 280 or better, lifting Dimond to a 110-point victory.

Morgan Howard’s 283 and Kyle Milne’s 283 keyed South’s victory over Service in a Friday CIC riflery meet at South.

The Wolverines carved out a 97-point win over Service, which was led by Kate Benfield’s 281.

Papasodora fires 291 

Cathyrn Papasodora of Eagle River shot a perfect 100 from the prone position en route to a match-high score of 291 Friday in Eagle River’s CIC riflery victory at Bartlett.

Also firing a 100 in prone shooting was Bartlett’s Riley Reloza, a freshman who finished with a 272. Willy Woody’s 287 led the Golden Bears.
