Aces release Brit forward Farmer

The Alaska Aces trimmed their bulging roster today, waiving British forward Robert Farmer.

Farmer, 22, played in just four of the club's first 13 games -- no points, seven shots, seven PIMs, -1.

That still leaves the Aces with 25 players -- 13 forwards, nine defensemen and three goaltenders.

Yet the Aces are suffering ample injuries, so the heavy roster is coming in handy.

Still out for the Aces are three defensemen (Sean Curry, Zach Davies, Corey Syvret), two forwards (Tim Coffman, Andy Taranto) and one goaltender (Gerald Coleman).

The Aces in about 90 minutes close their three-game series with the Las Vegas Wranglers. Aces broadcaster/all-things-media Mike Benton said the club is going with the same lineup as it used in Saturday night's 5-2 win, with the exception of a goalie switch -- Olivier Roy will be in net.
